Volume of recordings is much higher then the volume of male TTS

Hello,
I have noticed that the volume of both female and male recordings is much higher then the volume of male TTS.

And because of this issue, it really hurts years when doing flashcard tests that include also listening to example sentences (especially with the use of headphones).

Is it possible to lower the volume of recordings, but not of TTS, in tests (or to raise the volume only of TTS)?

Should be possible to add a setting for it, yes - trying to get them to match for everyone would be tricky since they play through different subsystems and Android devices are somewhat inconsistent in their handling of different audio formats / channels.

IMHO, if you add setting for volume control for recordings and/or TTS independently from each other, then users could adjust the proper volume by themselves on their devices.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking, yeah. Main problem is that we can't really make either of them louder, so the defaults in your case would have the TTS at 100% and recordings at something much lower. Added complication with TTS is that the Android system TTS doesn't even offer a volume option, so people using that (e.g. for Cantonese) basically need to find a way to make the other two match up with whatever it's doing.

I am using Android system, and I don't see anywhere volume control, not for male/female recordings, nor for TTS. I only have speed control for TTS, but it isn't relevant.

(I am using Pleco ver. 3.2.12, because in the newer version my BlueStacks Andr. emulation crashes)

Does newer Pleco versions have volume control for recording/TTS?
Or are you talking about possible upgrades in the next versions?

Sorry, by "Android system TTS" I meant the free one that's built into Android rather than the Pleco add-on. There's no way apps can adjust the volume of that as far as we know.

I was talking about upgrades in a future version, yes.
