2 questions for an android newbie

Hi, just bought by galaxy s2 yesterday
I am an Android newbie, please forgive my obvious questions!
2 questions:
1. how do I add a keyboard/method to draw hanzi characters like I do on my ipod touch(large drawing area option)?

2. I would like to try the ocr before buying it. any free reduced character set database I can download to try it out?

Download Baidu IME, it's free in Android Market.

You can actually try the full thing (it just hides everything but the characters + Pinyin in dictionary definitions); just go into the Add-ons tab, tap on the name of the OCR add-on and tap on the button to download a demo version.

But I must ask you to help s little more before I get up to speed on the S2.
I have installed baidu.
On the basic PLECO screen , I have my normal Qwerty
keyboard, with at the bottom a button to select numbers , a microphone,
Spacebar,dot, settings and return buttons.
At this point, I want to draw a hanzi to search on.
How do Ido that?
Again my spologies, in my case, maybe a litle movie would be best.

Tap on the "gear" key on the keyboard and you should see an option to change your input method; do so and select the Baidu IME and that should get handwriting working. (you can also purchase our handwriting recognizer add-on from pleco.com/store - that adds a more accurate recognizer with another dedicated button below the search field)
