Cannot backup flashcard database (xiaomi 6)

Hello,

I have Xiaomi vs 6 phone.

When I attempt to backup database it tells me: 'turn on Files in Settings - Installed Apps first'.
However I have done that (i have enabled all of the other permissions as well)

I still get that message, and I do not know why. I need to backup my database before I try reinstalling or other methods, as I want to save my SRS progress!

Well. embarassingly it was easily fixed by downloading new pleco from website and installing on top, so you may delete this thread now

Ah, no worries.

FWIW, this could also be worked around in old versions of Pleco by turning on 'force legacy file chooser' in Settings / Miscellaneous; in a recent update we gave up on Xiaomi altogether and started automatically doing that, downside is that Xiaomi users no longer get convenient integration with Google Drive and other external storage services but on the plus side the file chooser screen does at least work reliably now
