Lost Flashcard

I'm using the 1.03 version with add-on bus dict on PPC.

I created a flashcard - the default & I renamed it "Vocabulary"; it had about 150 entries in it.

Somehow a new default flashcard named "Default" replaced "Vocabulary" in the flashcard list. I think this happened when I added the add-on business dict &/or upgraded to 1.03 - but I am not sure.

I also did not pay attention to the name of the default flashcard. I continued to add new entries, not realizing that they went to the new "Default" file. I accumulated another 120 or so entries

I just realized that the previous entries are not in the "Default" list.

I looked at the "My Document" folder and found 4 flashcard files ("flashcard.peb", "flashcard--1069080707.peb", "User DB C-E.peb", and "User DB C-E--1069080707.peb"). I suspect that 2 are the "Vocabulary" and 2 "Default" files. "Vocabulary" does not appear in my flashcard session list.

How can I make both "Default" & "Vocabulary" to appear in my flashcard session list? or merge the 2 lists?

Thanks,

FY

Yes, this does sound like it happened when you were upgrading. Anyway, the easiest way to merge the two lists is to use the "Export" command in Manage Lists - do that, set the encoding to UTF-8 and make sure the "Include user entry text" box is checked, then exit PlecoDict (using the Quit command in the Dict menu), go into My Documents, create a folder inside of that called Old Flashcards, and move the two "1069080707" files to there. Reopen PlecoDict and you should have your "Vocabulary" flashcard list back; then, use the "Import" command to copy the exported flashcards back into PlecoDict.

I did get the "Vocabulary" list to appear but now the "Default" list does not appear in the flashcard list.

When I use the "import" command on the "Manage Flashcards" and hit the "Select File and Import" button, then select on the drop down list "My Documents", "Old Flashcard" folder, nothing appears.

I suspect that the drop down list below, the file type, is "Text", but I do not have other choices to select.
