Minor (good) Upgrade Policy Change

So a couple of people have pointed out that our current pricing structure for ABC/NWP dictionary upgrades is a bit silly now that we've launched the stroke order / audio features; essentially, if all you have now is a pre-2006 copy of PlecoDict Basic you'd pay $80 to upgrade the dictionaries plus $30 for the stroke order / audio features for a total of $110, versus the even $100 you'd spend to just buy a brand new copy of the Professional version.

Hence, effective immediately purchases of the ABC dictionary or the ABC + NWP dictionary upgrade will now include free copies of the stroke order and audio upgrades. So for a total of $80 you get the two new dictionaries from PlecoDict 1.0 plus the two new non-dictionary add-ons from Pleco 2.0. (and the Hanwang recognizer if you still haven't upgraded to that) The price for the two new 2.0 dictionaries plus the stroke order / audio upgrades will remain $100, since purchasing a new copy of PlecoDict with those would cost $150.

We've also retroactively credited those upgrades to people who bought the ABC or ABC+NWP upgrade on or after the July 1st '06 upgrade cutoff date. Anyone who's already paid for the stroke order / audio upgrades and would now be entitled to them for free will have their order refunded; contact us if you don't see a refund on your next credit card statement.
