I purchased it immediately for the example sentences which certainly do appear to be excellent! Thank you for the excellent addition.
I'm even more looking forward to better search functionality in your next release so that it's easier to search for example sentences. In particular it would be excellent if you could search on multiple mixed English and Chinese keywords and even regular expressions!
Another request for a future version: Currently the dict slider is available only in the DICT tab - it would be very useful also if the dict slider was available in the SENTS tab as well given that it takes a long time to find the examples for a particular dictionary when there are so many!

  3. 21st won't be disappearing now, will it?

@leguan - thanks! Both of those are on our to do list, yes.

@ACardiganAndAFrown - won't be disappearing for previous buyers (can still re-download it) but we will likely stop selling new copies of it soon.

Does New Century include the same entries as 21C + new ones, or does 21C still include some entries that aren't in NC?

The reason I'm asking is because if I were to buy NC I'd then disable/delete 21C to avoid having duplicated entries show up. But then if 21C includes some entries that aren't in NC it may be still be worth having both I suppose.

The two titles are totally unrelated, despite the similar names, so there would still be some benefit to having 21C active.

Is it published the same way other dictionaries are? I can't find it on the Add-ons list, neither on iPhone nor on Android.

Are you using the latest version of Pleco? (3.2.15)

I'm using Pleco 3.2.6, that's the latest version I can get on iOS 7, right? Is that the reason? Does it mean that I won't be able to get the Outlier Dictionary either?

That explains it, yes. Outlier support is TBD - we'd like to do it, since we were still supporting iOS 7 at the time of that Kickstarter, but there are some features we've added in more recent updates that we'd need in order to render it properly, so if we did support it it might be a bit ugly / limited compared to its version in newer Pleco updates.

How about Outlier Mini? Will it work on iOS 7?

All 3 (or 4) Outlier versions would be handled alike, I think, since it's ultimately all derived from just one set of data files. But I don't think iOS 7 will be supported in the initial release of Outlier Mini since it involves extra work and frankly we wouldn't want to delay that release for everyone else in order to accommodate iOS 7 users.

I see. Just to let you know – I learnt about the existence of the New Century dictionary by accident (I went to the forums just to see if there are any news about Outlier). I often look at the Add-ons section in my Pleco, but it didn't cross my mind that some add-ons may not be displayed because of their incompatibility. If you showed them all, including those that require an update, it would be better both for the users and for your sales. Just a suggestion...

Makes sense, but actually the logistics of that are a bit dicey given the way our add-on catalog system is currently designed. Would take a major redesign to support it and of course that redesign would not work in older versions of our app :)

Just noticed today that the button for speech has a coffee cup as a symbol. Is this intentional. I actually don't mind it.

I should add that this is only in NEC. Other dictionaries show the correct icon

Looks like the issue is the italic font - shouldn't be applying to example sentence characters.
