no sound with example sentences in Mandarin

I had sound with the example sentences (in Mandarin) in my IOS version. After transferring the package to my Android, the sound disappeared although I do have sound with the headwords. Is this normal? What would happen if I were to reset?
 
Download Google text-to-speech from Google Play - that should give you the same feature on Android.
