Switching dictionary bug

I'm pretty happy with Plecodict. Right now it has everything I need, so I'll be looking forward to the versions to come. I found a small bug this morning, though. Here is how to I produce it, something I can do at will:

  1. Select English-Chinese, NWP
  2. Enter the word "provisional". (A useful word today since I'm from Ohio)
  3. Highlight the first two characters of the first definition, 暂定 and hit the hook arrow at the top to get the Chinese definition from the ABC.
  4. Look in the lookup history pulldown and select "provisional"
  5. You then are placed on pu2bian1. Hitting the first button in the upper left does not switch to an English-Chinese dictionary. Hitting the second icon, the bookshelf, does switch to the NWP, however.

Thanks! We'll add this to our bug file and get to work on it.

A reminder, though, while we always appreciate bug reports there's really no need to spend a lot of time finding bugs at this point - we're still finding and fixing a lot of them ourselves. In my experience, most companies don't release a beta-test version of their software until they reach a point where they're fixing old bugs faster than they're finding new ones, and we're still a while away from that point as we haven't even got all of our features implemented yet.

Mike, what do you want us to post in this forum then? :?
While I don't spend time to SEARCH for bugs, I thought I should report them when I was running across a bug... Please give instructions... :)

I'm not actually trying to find bugs, but I like Plecodict so much that I deleted the old Oxford dictionary and am using Plecodict every day. This is the first bug that I have found with the current version, and it is easier to post the bug than to try to keep track of it for later.

Sorry, that was a bit unclear: I wasn't directing that statement at Beirne, I simply was reminding everyone in general that while we're certainly interested in hearing about bugs you happen to encounter, there's no need to actively search for them. I probably should have put it in a different thread...

Just one small cosmetic issue left related to this problem. When I go to the word "provisional" in the history I get the entry and the NWP is indicated at the top but it still shows the zhong1 for the language.
