Which features work without an internet connection?

Hi,

I'm considering getting either an iPod touch or an iPhone. I love this app as I've used it on friends' phones and would like to know which of the additional downloadable features work without an internet connection? I'm particularly interested in the character recognizer one but want to know if it (and other add-ons) will work on an iPod touch when it is not connected to the internet.

All of the add-on features work without an internet connection, including OCR. However, OCR does not work very well on the iPod Touch because the iPod Touch's camera doesn't support autofocus - without that, it can't see close-up text clearly enough to recognize it. So you'd be better off with an autofocus iPhone - even an older model like the 3GS would still beat out the latest-version iPod for OCR.
