Flashcard feature, I think it's somehow possible to have flashcards where you write the character on the front and if you get the strokes right you pass it like skritter?
Setting this up is near impossible for me I have not figured it out no matter how much I fiddle with it, if it could be simplified in some way that would be nice.
Also, I thought be nice if there was a free writing mode where I mark it for myself whether i wrote it right or not.
If you could add Tongyong pinyin as an option for reading characters that would be nice.
Also there's some dictionaries that are available to purchase on Pleco's website but not within the app. I'd prefer to use apple to pay for them because I keep getting apple gift cards from things that I don't know what to do with so i need to waste them on getting what tiny amount of dictionaries I don't yet have on pleco. More dictionaries on pleco would be nice overall, especially some super old dictionaries like A Chinese-English Dictionary from giles or Mathews' Chinese-English Dictionary. there was also like some old LDC list of words that Pleco 3.0 had that i very sorely miss on 4.0 please bring it back!

Yes, it's extremely confusingly named at the moment but you'd want a "fill in the blanks" test prompting for "headword with order." Free writing is supported even in the old app, you just do a self-graded test and tap on the button at the top to toggle the drawing overlay.

We aren't able to offer any in-app purchasing in the beta, unfortunately, since Apple doesn't allow in-app purchases in beta apps - if you want to buy through Apple you'd need to uninstall the beta (back up your flashcards etc outside of Pleco's storage area first), download the regular non-beta version, make your purchase through that, then switch back to the beta.

also i wanted to mention, I worked at a school for foreigners learning Chinese helped dozens if not hundreds of students set up pleco and other apps, and nearly all of them were aware of pleco. Nearly none of them knew pleco had add-ons. so I'd really suggest being a bit more *in your face* about it in the app. Also when people buy the professional package, it should probably have a default recommended arrangement for the dictionaries. Like chengyu dictionary first, then tuttle's learner etc.

It's literally not possible to make in-app purchases from a beta app, Apple's system won't allow it and there's no way to make a purchase that isn't initiated by an app. If you have an old iOS device that's logged into the same Apple ID but isn't running the beta, you could always download the old version of Pleco and buy your add-on through that - the purchase should sync over, and if not, email us with your Registration IDs and we can do it manually.

And thanks for the feedback - we're planning to put a big prominent "add-ons" at the top of settings in the final version 4.0 which will hopefully help a bit on that, and probably also a *few* more places where we advertise the absence of something / possibility of getting it through a paid add-on ("why are there so few stroke order diagrams, how can I get more" is a popular support email from free users and if people want something and don't know they can buy it then we're clearly not doing our jobs )

I don't know if we'd do a recommended dictionary order because it really depends a lot on where people are learning-wise - part of the whole idea behind Professional is that it's covering both learners and more advanced users and discounting everything enough that people don't mind ending up with dictionaries they don't immediately imagine themselves using.
