Any way to search against flashcards?

I have hundreds of flashcards, and sometimes, particularly for chengyu, remember one or more characters of chengyu that I know I've flashcarded, but can't find them quickly in the dictionary using even a wildcard lookup. It would be much more efficient to search for the character(s) against just the flashcards rather than the whole dictionary.

May be missing it in current version but can't find a way to do it - is there? If not, is this something contemplated for 2.0?

This would save me gobs of time!

This is not possible in the current version, it's under consideration for 2.0 depending on whether or not we manage to get the new SQLite database engine working quickly enough for a (rather complicated) search like this to be usable.

One big vote from me as well, I have been encountering this kind of problem more and more lately (since my chengyu flashcard list is growing more and more). In the end I usually find it (not like yesterday, I just couldn't remember one particular chengyu... I have spent quite some time searching for it and racked my brains to remember at least one character, all to no avail... and then in the evening when it crossed my mind again, I just remembered the whole chengyu all of the sudden :)), using the wildcard search or just browsing the Edit List, but it is very time-consuming sometimes...

EDIT: Hey, my first post here :)

Things are looking reasonably good for this on the database front, SQLite is still corrupting the odd record or two but we're busily mopping up the last few bugs and performance seems to be adequate - wouldn't be as fast as a regular dictionary search, of course, but if you don't mind staring at a spinning cursor for a few seconds it's very likely it will be possible to search for characters in flashcards in 2.0.

when will version 2.0 be out

should I wait for 2.0 or should I buy the current version? how long will it take?

Lots of users ask this question... as a satisfied user of the current PlecoDict on the PalmOS platform that is not affliliated with the company at all, here is the reply that I wrote: viewtopic.php?t=896
