CJK OS + Plecodict

I have a Palm T3 with the CJK OS installed in the ROM, do I still have to install fonts and things or is there another way I can just install the engine and databases? If so, which files do I need to install and where should I put them?

I have had a registered copy for a number of years and will probably upgrade my dictionary package if I can find a way of doing this without having to install all the fonts again.

I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who has experience of this.

Unfortunately, PlecoDict can't use CJKOS' font files; there's no reliable way to get CJKOS to handle simplified and traditional characters at the same time, and on top of that there are a lot of characters in our dictionaries which CJKOS doesn't support in any character set, so the only fonts our software can use are the ones that come bundled with it. They're pretty easy to install, though; the automated installer puts them on your Palm along with the engine/databases without any extra effort, and unlike on Pocket PC, on Palm they can be stored on an SD card and hence not take up any space in your Palm's internal memory.

Our old Oxford Dict software actually can work with CJKOS' fonts, though, so if you log on to My Orders and re-download/reinstall that (should work pretty happily on a T3) that would give you a way to avoid installing the extra files.
