Configurability of Handwriting Input Dictionary Size

In beta 34, is there still a way to restrict the handwriting recognition dictionary size, such that only common and rare (not extra rare) and only simplified characters are recognized? The advantage of that would, of course, be a greater tolerance for imperfectly written characters, as the recognizer would have a smaller number of characters to choose from. Thanks!

No - our new engine doesn't support it and we're not currently planning to keep offering the old HWR engine as an option in 4.0.

No problem. The new engine is working well for me so far.

Can you put a number on how many characters the new engine is able to recognize, or would you rather do that later?

I think it's around 12,000. We switched to it as the default on Android 6 months ago and basically nobody even noticed, so it seems like it's meeting people's needs pretty well.
