Converting Exported Flashcards

After exporting a flashcard list, copying it from Palm Desktop and pasting it into Wordpad (which I know supports Chinese characters on my pc) the flashcard chinese characters still show as odd-ascii-characters.

Sorry for the basic question, but how do I convert the ascii back into Chinese characters?

Thanks,
Kent

I'm probably missing the essential point here, but that's never stopped me before.

First, do they show as odd ASCII on the PC or the PDA? If on your PC, do you have a Chinese input manager installed? That's the thihng that enables your PC to show Chinese (as well as other) characters. If not, go to Microsoft and search on Chinese IME and follow directions. Make sure nyou have at least one Chinese font family installed, and, my prejudice, UTF-8.

If you already have a Chinese IME on your PC, have you made sure that it's selected in, I think it is, View, Character Encoding for IE. I am certain that's the command for Firefox.

If it's on the PDA, then it's your turn, Mike. I am not the person to discuss importing, exporting, editing user dictionaries or...whatever.
