Dark Mode in Web Reader

Hello Mike,

in the Web Reader, the Color mode option "Force dark" does not yet work to enforce dark mode for Web content. The following page remains unchanged after enabling the option:

Edit: It also doesn't act on the Font size scale setting:

I know that websites can define font size in many different ways. But browsers like Firefox and Chrome can consistently change the font size, possibly because they have more control over their web rendering engine.

Thanks,

Shun

Actually that option isn't supported in web reader at the moment, so I'm afraid the bug is that it's appearing rather than that it isn't working. Font size scale we were going to support at one point before we decided that it made more sense to simply leave most font size scaling matters to the system app-specific font scale setting (which also let us eliminate a ton of options in the font settings screen for the next beta), force dark mode was IIRC never something we intended to support in web. But if you pick 'reading mode' in the share menu, that will extract the text from a web page into a separate window where you can customize those things.

Got it, many thanks! Will the system's app-specific font scaling setting be available only with the next beta? Because right now with iPadOS 26.1 and the Pleco 3.99.31 beta, there isn't such a setting yet:

Otherwise, the settings under Accessibilty are of course system-wide.
