Dictionary Lookup Shortcut

Hi, I wondered if there's a way to configure a shortcut to the Dictionary search screen with the handwriting input already on, like with Pleco 3.2 where one could tap-hold the hamburger to be taken there and tap-hold it back to where one was before. The main selling point of such a shortcut would be the single tap to get there. Thanks!

If you tap on the 'search' tab button again when you're already in it, that should open input. If you're in a definition screen there, one tap will bring you back to the search screen and a second one will open input.

Thanks, that works better than what I did. The last two taps have to be apart by about half a second on my iPhone Xr, and Pleco remembers which input method was used the last time. Since the bottom toolbar can be hidden and unhidden, sometimes three taps are needed right now, but I can't think of a good way to incorporate a really quick shortcut, either, since we don't have a hamburger at the top left anymore.

Perhaps with Bluetooth keyboard support, one could add a hotkey to open the Search pinyin input? Of course, once there's a Mac or perhaps Windows version, this wouldn't be that important anymore.

I noticed one can now respond to Flashcards questions using the keyboard, all without touching the iPhone. Very nice indeed!

Yes, app-wide navigation shortcuts are on our to-do list. (probably at the same time as we launch our Mac beta)
