flash cards hard buttons assignment

Hello Mike,

(I searched the forum but could not find an answer so I hope that this is not a duplicate question)

I assigned the center button in the 5-way navigator of my T|T to the "Show" function. After I have shown the all entries of a flash card using the Show button I can press the Show button once again and the card vanishes. What function is then applied? Right or Wrong? Or does the card get sorted back without any change in its ranking, et cetera?

PS: after having used a small free flash card program for several years, I've finally managed to switch to PlecoDict's flash cards. The only thing I'm missing is the ability to also assign lecture texts to particular flash card list. Are there any plans to import texts and have some simple kind of text reader within Plecodict?

It marks it as correct; this isn't really the ideal behavior (it doesn't mark it at all on PPC) so this will likely change in the next bug-fix update.

And yes, we are planning to add a text reader to PlecoDict, in fact it's one of the biggest new features in the works for PlecoDict 2.0.

thank you very much for your quick reply. While being able to press the show button twice makes handling flash cards little bit easier (less thumb movement required :wink: ) it is also a source for erroneous operation when the thumb moves too fast and triggers twice.

I'm glad to hear that you have the text reader feature already on your product radar. I will be impatiently waiting for it ... in addition to stroke order charts (animated characters) and voice output. That would then leave only voice recognition remaining for version 3.0 of PlecoDict
