For bookmarks, what is the difference between "removing" a bookmark, and "deleting" it?

For example, you have the option when you swipe left on a bookmark to "remove" or "delete" it. What does each option do?

“Remove” removes it from that category but doesn’t delete the underlying card - I.e., it’ll still remain in any other categories it was in (or Uncategorized if none).
