graffiti anywhere?

I have noticed on my T3 that graffiti anywhere does not seem to work in the Oxford dictionary. Sometimes it would be useful to enter a word using pinyin to look it up without having to open the slider. Is this non-functionality intentional or is it a bug that can be fixed? :?:

It's a bug but can't be easily fixed. We think we've got a fix for it in PlecoDict, though; the current development version of PlecoDict works happily with it and there aren't likely to be any significant changes to the code that was causing the problem between now and PlecoDict's release. Unfortunately there's no way we can apply this fix to the Oxford since we've completely rewritten the text/field system in PlecoDict.

The best workaround I can suggest in the meantime is to use a third-party screen writing enabler like TealScript (http://www.tealpoint.com) - for some reason those sorts of programs appear to be unaffected by this bug.
