How to create sentence flashcards?

Hasn't changed much, as we've spent most of the intervening 2 years porting to Android and then updating our at-that-point-quite-outdated iOS user interface; flashcard improvements are finally going to come later this year.
What are you trying to create these cards from? The simplest way to create custom flashcards in bulk is to make them in a text file first and then import them into Pleco; you basically just want:
characters<tab>pinyin<tab>definition
one item per line. Pinyin preferably with tone numbers rather than tone marks since they parse more reliably.
