How to prioritize weekly imports in my vocabulary folder (even if the word already exists/is a merge)?

I am using the HSK set of flash cards and I am currently on the level 1 cards.
I have a new folder within HSK called "studying", which I use to copy and merge cards into. It currently has level 1, top 100 subtext words by frequency, and I would like to do a weekly import of my Du Chinese words.

The issue I am having, is that I want to prioritize my weekly batch of new words.

Each day I read a story and may add new vocab to my DuChinese app list. This cumulates words every day, but does not remove words from past exports.

Ideally my arrangement would be to import the DC wordlist each week by:
1. import DC list of say 20 words to HSK>Studying
2. merge duplicates (keep most reviewed fields/ highest card score )
3. set a custom field on words imported or updated from the DC import (both new words, and existing HSK words (reviewed/unreviewed)

When testing:
1. for new words, prioritize words with DC=1 flag, then randomly pick from the rest of the words.
- if a word is already in the scorefile/reviewd then the DC=1 flag is ignored as it only applies to new words. existing interval to be left alone.

The next week I import 25 DC words (including the 20 from last week- due to the DC simple mechanism). The 20 from last week effectively have no impact as the DC=1 flag is already set. For the other 5 we set category, merge, and set flag.

Is something like this possible? I am on pleco 4.0 beta in iOS.

That would work, yes. Another option would be to use the 'new card queue' feature in the learning profile and have the first queue item be set to capture whatever you're using to flag DC words - you don't really need a custom field for that, it can be something as simple as an extra category (remember cards can belong to more than one category) that you add those cards to to prioritize them.

Thanks Mike,
I am actually using the SM2 profile for my cards. I have a follow up question on that. If SM2 goes away in 4.x, will the statistics profile have a way to carry over to Learning?
