How to share flash cards between iPad and iPhone

Hello everybody, newbe here....
I've searched the forums, but didn't find the answer to my question. I have an extensive flashcard system in Pleco for the iPad that I would like to sync or at least share with my iPhone. I tried the 'share file' function and thus managed to move my flashcard back up onto my iPhone. But this was just it.... I can see the backup file, but I can't see my flashcards. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I must have had a blond moment..... For everyone else who is mulling over this issue: after you sent the backup from one device to the other, retrieve the back up on the device you've sent it to and - voila - you have all your flashcards on your second device.
