I can't find where the setting is right now, or what exactly it's called (as an aside a search box in the setting might be nice - along the lines of the MacOS system settings search...) - but I have "auto search when you open the app with something in your clipboard". However, if I copy+paste the following URL into safari:
plecoapi://x-callback-url/s?q=國
Pleco pops up (as I want!), and instead of looking up 國, it detects the URL in the clipboard and searches for that instead. I think it should prioritise the argument over clipboard if I'm visiting the app via a callback.
(In case it's of interest: my use for this is that I made a simple revision app for Chinese poetry I want to memorize (it only works properly in safari w/ iOS) that integrates with Pleco
