Issue with the Cantonese language

Within Pleco running on an Android smartphone, I have enabled « Enable Cantonese » and « Enable Cantonese Search » through Settings/General/Language/Cantonese

Both Mandarin and Cantonese pronunciations can thus be heard for any Chinese character. The problem is for the sentences provided as examples : only Mandarin can be heard …

This occurs whatever the choice for « Cantonese phonetic system » : Jyutping, Yale, etc. Note also that there is no such issue for Pleco running on (my) iPhone.

Any suggestion ?

Check Settings / Audio - is Google selected as your "System TTS Engine"? Also make sure that you've enabled Cantonese as well as Mandarin in the TTS section of that screen.

Thank you so much for your help. It is not "System TTS Engine" (which was already set for Google), but "TTS Voice/System Cantonese Female": enabling this feature solves the issue.
