Mio P550

I've just installed Plecodict on the PDA above with Windows Mobile 5. With the auto install the simsum font didn't install at all so I just got squares in Plecodict instead of characters. I manually installed simsum - this solved the problem for Plecodict but meant certain Roman text (the text showing the battery charge for example) was replaced by squares. So I can either have full functionality for Plecodict and a few unreadable lines in the OS or have a Plecodict without characters. Is there a fix for this? Incidently - it doesn't seem to matter where the simsum font file is placed - in the program file folder or in the with the Plecodict data files on my SD card - it's presence still makes the dictionary work and messes up the OS.
Thansk in advance for any help

This is caused by a bug in Windows Mobile, unfortunately; for some reason, when our software's fonts are installed it insists on using them even to render English text. The best workaround we have at the moment is to exit PlecoDict completely (using the Quit command in the Dict menu) when you're finished using it; that will cause it to unload its font files and should get Windows using the correct ones.

This problem should be corrected in Pleco 2.0; we're replacing the built-in font system with one of our very own that will be used exclusively inside of PlecoDict, thus making it impossible for our fonts to interfere with Microsoft's or vice versa.
