Pause, prevent, stop flashcard aging

Is there a way to pause, prevent, or stop flashcard aging? If a take a few days rest from studying I get slammed with a ton of due/overdue flashcards. It takes many days to get them back down to a manageable number. Thanks!

Certainly; go into the "Search Cards" screen, search for "All Cards," tap on the "Edit" button, then on the "Batch" button. Scroll down to "Score," tap on "Change score:" and change it to "rand increase by 0 to," then enter 1000 in the "Amount" box and tap "Change score now." That will randomly increase each card's interval by somewhere between 0 and 10 days.

You could also just exit the session when you've reviewed as many cards as you have time for; it'll automatically show you the ones that are farthest overdue first.
