Once the beta's released, you'll need a password to even access this page (and that password will only be available to beta forum subscribers), but since the beta forum's not set up yet it's free to all for the moment. So you can log on to verify that your purchased upgrades / dictionaries / etc have transferred over and that, if you bought Professional or Complete after the July 1st '06 cutoff, you've been credited with your free stroke order / audio upgrades. If you bought the Palm version before the cutoff but switched to the Pocket PC version after it, you didn't receive a free upgrade credit, but there's a very good reason for this which will be announced on Monday.

Wow. You are definitely up late tonight. Though I imagine lately, and for the foreseeable future, you will probably be pulling quite a few late-nighters. I am benefiting from being on PST time, so it is only 10:40pm for me.

Anyway, I am going to give logging into the new Pleco 2.0 My Orders Page (realizing that the beta software won't be available until after the weekend is over) a try.

I hope you make a point of giving yourself plenty of quality sleep-time in the next few weeks.

And don't worry, I'm still getting plenty of sleep, just getting it at unusual times...

Since I've been getting a bunch of e-mails about this: the 2.0 Machine IDs are not the same as your old Device IDs; there's no way to generate one without the demo version of 2.0, so you're not going to be able to activate your 2.0 upgrade until you install that demo. All you can do on this page right now is verify that you've been credited with the correct upgrades.

Probably should make it clear on website that the Machine ID is from the "Ordering Page" under the Help Menu of PlecoDict 2.0 Demo. I thought it was referring to the web ordering page at first.

"To activate your software, enter your Machine ID (obtained from the Pleco 2.0 Ordering screen)" is what is shown on the activation page online when one tries to get the keyfile. It's not clear where that screen can be found, and it took me about an hour to figure out that it was on my Palm within the demo version's ordering page, not online. That's really obvious to many -- just not to me!
So for those like me, make sure you install the demo version first, then you can use the ID on the ordering screen on the Palm to get your keyfile from the activation page online.
