Hi Mike,

Just an idea: an iOS/Android Pleco IME

The IME would work similarly to others, you type Pinyin and it shows a list of suggestions, but the secret sauce would be:

• a vertical list of suggestions with brief definitions beside each word (ie. the KEY dictionary)
• Numbers for tone marks to narrow down the list of choices

These feature would be super useful for communicating with natives when still learning characters.
