Pleco Screen Reader: where did the OCR button go?

Hi, I just installed Pleco to a new phone and I noticed that the "Screen Reader" function only shows one button (screen reader) instead of two like before (screen reader + screen OCR). Where did this feature go? This was super helpful in Wechat since the screen reader doesn't work on messages.

Hi olalonde,

perhaps you haven't reactivated your purchases yet on the new phone? I hear that Screen OCR is paid, so you would need to copy the Registration ID from your old phone to the Registration area on the new phone.

I never purchased it. It used to be enabled by default although some features like definitions weren't enabled.

That's funny, it still works on my Android 8.0.0; Mike will surely know the answer.

Re-download the demo version of OCR in "Add-ons" and that should bring the button back. (but as you say it won't give you any definitions - all the demo gives you is pinyin)
