Pleco would not start on HTC, please help.

I was using it without a glitch for a couple of months then after moving to China it stopped starting up. At the same time i discoverd an unwanted program on my handset placed probably by the China Mobile - the STK, whuch I cant remove, i suspect there might be a connection.

What should I do? Reinstall? If so, can i get a new reinstallation file from the company?

Reinstalling could help, yes. There's actually no need for a special new file from us, just go to http://www.pleco.com/wmdownload.html to re-download the software installer and http://www.pleco.com/orders.html to re-download your keyfile; use the installer's "Uninstall Pleco" command to remove the software and then its "Install Pleco" command to reinstall it. (probably a good idea to reboot your phone by removing / reinserting the battery sometime in between the uninstall and reinstall)

The STK software manages your SIM and it cant be removed because I've been told its embedded in the SIM. Usually for me a reinstall helps but if you're like me and keep adding utilities and software to your HTC you can reach a point where everything just seems to hose up on you. Luckily in beijing you can really on getting your phone lost or stolen so you replace with new hardware every year!!!! There's always a bright side....

Thanks Mao, I have reainstalled and it works now althou i am wary of installing new software and fonts. Pleaco is more important to me. As to losing hardware you are correct , i know that from leaving behind my $2000 M-series Toshiba in a taxi, never to be found)
