Thanks to a new patch which allows for separately configured flood intervals for PMs and posts, and another one which moderates all posts / PMs from new users, we now feel confident enough in our ability to prevent PM spam that we've re-enabled private messages on PlecoForums.
You won't be able to send PMs until you've a) posted at least one message and b) had that first post approved by a moderator, though. And meanwhile, that anti-spam patch should pretty effectively kill spam posts.
