pronunciation not working properly

Hi. I recently bought the basic version of Pleco for the iPhone but the audio files only pronounce the words syllable by syllable and it's a bit annoying. I've downloaded audio pronunciation (male and female) and also the extended versions.
Can anyone help? Thanks.
 
Not all entries have complete word readings - the ones without it will be played as you mentioned syllable by syllable - there are actually quite a large number full word readings but they are only for common words
