Request: Cloud Backup Restore

Hey, I've been using the dictionary since 2014 and I've probably got you guys about 10+ orders from friends cos I've always said, "Just buy the full version, it's the biggest help and a great product".

That said (as far as I know) one functionality that seems to me would be really useful (and pretty standard in this day and age) is some sort of automatic backup and restore option. I've had a couple of times when I've got my phone soaked or lost in these 10 years and if I'm LUCKY I manually backed up the flashcard decks and settings a few weeks to a month before, and then I've got to manually import them back in. In this day and age it seems so cumbersome, particularly when we're not backing up I dunno gigs of visual data or whatever, it's basically a text file.

Can we please get some sort of auto-backup restore which would just reset the dictionaries, settings, flashcards, spaced repition memory scores etc exactly as I had it when I soaked my phone based on some configurable backup option (i.e choose to backup everything every 24 hours or whatever). This would have saved me a lot of headaches.

Thanks!

Pleco already has an automatic reminder for backup. My phone fortunately has slot for additional storage. This it protects against damage but not loss. I email backup files to self periodically.

Automated cloud storage would raise cost and complexity. KISS.

For android (since it is Linux), there is likely an NFS or samba mounted filesystem that you can back up to.
