Sell Pleco?

Question: I own a copy of PlecoDict for Palm. I like it. But now I'm going to buy an Windows Mobile Smartphone and don't need my Palm anymore. I know that I have to purchase a WinMo copy of Pleco now (how about offering some "special prices for system switchers"?), but can I give my Palm copy away? I know somebody who would buy my Palm and also need PlecoDict, so is it legal to sell/give away my copy to somebody else?

I'm not MikeLove but in regards to your first question, I believe that there is a special price for system switchers (going from Palm to Windows platform and vice versa). See: viewtopic.php?t=623

In regards to your second question, if you purchase the Windows version at the special price, you are no longer allowed to have it installed on your PalmOS device. However, if you purchase the Windows version at the regular price without a "switching" discount, you would be allowed to keep the copy on your PalmOS device. BUT, if you sell your PalmOS device or give it to someone else, you probably can't include PlecoDict because you are the only person licensed to use it.

MikeLove, correct me if I'm mistaken...

Actually, we have no objection to people transferring their PlecoDict licenses to others as long as they don't keep around any backup copies for themselves. So you could sell your Palm with Pleco on it as long as you bought a separate (non-discounted) license to use on your new Pocket PC.
