treo 650 soft reset randomly occurs when program is open

I just purchased the pleco complete and put it on a Treo 650. In the middle of using pleco and searching for various characters, it just shuts down. It's not because of inactivity, and I should have the hanwang (sp?) font on it because I reinstalled it with they PDunlock.

I also had previously put CJKOS on it. Would that program have anything to do with it pleco shutting down?

I can't seem to figure this out. I would really appreciate any help I could get.

Thanks!

Even though I'm not associated with the company, I thought that I would post my experience with PlecoDict and my Treo 650.

My Treo 650 has been very stable while using PlecoDict. However, I don't have CJKOS installed on it because I don't find that I have enough RAM for it while maintaining a safety buffer of >=5 MB.

What error message do you get when you use the Phone application and you type: "*#377" and press the dial button? Do you have any background applications running?

PlecoDict has only crashed once on my Treo 650. Unfortunately, I'm currently waiting for my Treo 650 to be fixed by Palm (or for them to send me a refurbished unit). If you think that you have a problem with your Treo 650, my Treo 650 was constantly rebooting and there was no way of stopping it even though I did all the resets available (soft, medium, hard, zero-out).

What were you doing when you were using PlecoDict?

thank you

Thanks for your help. I ended up uninstalling cjkos (though I'm not sure I had to) along with all of the other pleco files. I then manually installed pleco again. It now seems to be working fine. I think I must have messed up some how in the first place. Hopefully, this will be more than a temporary fix. Good luck getting your treo back in shape.

I have been running Pleco and CJKOS on the Treo for almost 2 years now and it has been very stable.

I just got my refurbished (or new) Treo 650 back and I restored my PlecoDict from SD memory back to the Treo 650 (as well as my other programs). It was hard being without my Treo 650 and being without PlecoDict.

I used PlecoDict for about 1 hour on the flashcards and PlecoDict is just as stable as I remember it to be... no crashes so far.
