Yeah, in retrospect "Pleco 4.0 will not be released as long as Henry Kissinger is alive" would have been an accurate prediction that told everyone absolutely nothing.People may call me sceptic, but I had more faith that Pleco 4.0 would eventually see the light of day than that Henry Kissinger would actually die. And now those things happening one in the wake of the other. You may see coincidences, but I see patterns folks, that's what I always say.
Given that Apple has mostly stopped doing giant OS updates where they blow up everything I'm optimistic that we won't have cause to discontinue it for a long time.congrats! im hoping that the soonish to be legacy app will continue to be available for the foreseeable future after 4.0. good luck!
There'll be an email accompanying the release with a lot more on that.Is there any specific parts of the software that you want us to focus on while testing?
It should use it for single-character words if it's downloaded. Turn on 'breakdown recordings if no exact match' to use it in preference to TTS for multi-character words.Edit: Actually, it looks like it is there - just not sure how to get it into headword audio just yet -- I'll keep digging.
Very sorry, that was several years ago - I'm afraid the requirement is 16 now, it would unfortunately be quite challenging for us to continue supporting iOS 15.Pleco v3.99.1.7 is not working on my iPad mini 4 running iOS15.8. The compatibility section in TestFlight says that it "Requires iOS 16.6 or later" (which I cannot update). Just letting you know since I saw that in mail you mention that it only requires IOS v14.0 or later.
