January 27th Dictionary Releases

That's true in the original printed title too, actually - they don't seem to have translated all of those explanatory notes to German. (perhaps if sales continue their robust pace we'll eventually be able to hire someone to do it ourselves)

Do you have already some results from double checking the NHD licence for plain text export to flashcards?
Seems like it's probably OK, but we'll do a database update on it pretty soon anyway so will probably wait until that's out before making any changes.

Is this firmly on the To-Do list for the next DB update? Thanks!

You mean export support? Still trying to sort that one out. Definitely a bunch of bug fixes coming though.

I noticed under MoEDict introduction in Add-ons section it says "about 77,000 entries". Didn't it originally supposedly include 160,000 entries or so?

This has probably already been mentioned, but when is the Hanyu Da Zidian expected to be released for Pleco? Anything hints as to what else might be in the works?

No current plans on that one, digitization + other costs would exceed what we'd expect to make on it (and as a for-profit enterprise it's not easy for us to get grant money towards such things).

@HW60 - have to double check on licensing for that - in some dictionaries we're allowed to do plaintext exports (to flashcards and such) and in some cases we aren't.
Any new information on that problem? Is it a licensing problem or an update problem? When will it be solved?

Is this a dictionary problem? (last line)

Yes on the first one - looks like a glitch in the Tuttle converter - and thanks on the second one, though 'pedlar' is technically another valid spelling it's an old + silly one.

Not seeing it in HDC, actually - are you sure that's the one? KEY does have it, lists it as dialect for "squat, crouch."
