bglasow - well that's odd, I'm not seeing it here either... tough to find a bug during the beta when nobody knows a feature is supposed to be there, I suppose
With the flashcard adding bug, what it's actually supposed to do in that case is bring up a screen allowing you to create a custom flashcard from that text, so I'm not sure why it isn't - should be easy to fix, anyway.
sobriaebritas - the problem there is actually that 牛奶 is listed as an "example" rather than a standalone entry; we're working on dealing with those cases more intelligently (PLC has quite a few entries in that category) but not quite there yet.
etm001 - those are definitely not typical lag times / not what we're seeing on our iPad 3 here. Does it help matters any if you reboot your iPad? (hold down power button / slide to power off / power back on / reopen Pleco)
Good point on the anchored reader bubble, I do think that having it narrower makes more sense than that useless full-screen-width version we had before but in this mode it probably ought to be centered rather than jumping around.
Megaphone icon at the top level is dicey because we've already got a lot of buttons there (too many on iPhone) - could consider it if we ever come up with a good solution for selectively showing / hiding toolbars though. (the usual e-reader gesture of simply tapping on the screen doesn't work because we're using that for something else...)
We're about halfway through a revamp of our settings system infrastructure, after which sync might be possible, but right now it would cause way too many problems.
Flashcard editing keyboard is a bug - we'd actually forgotten / didn't know that the keyboard was an option for that in the old app (didn't realize that that mode selector switch was still appearing - was supposed to only show up when editing a document in the reader) but now that we know it was / that people were using it we'll bring it back in 3.0.1. In the meantime we'd suggest copy-and-pasting from Pinyin, or if you really do a lot of flashcard editing, temporarily uninstall our handwriting add-on and revert to Apple's.
The other two issues are actually bugs we specifically though we'd fixed... there could be some sort of an awkward timing issue (events firing in an order they're not supposed to) related to all of that lag; do they get any better if you reboot your iPad?
Excellent point on the Done buttons, laziness on our part relating to the lack of that tap-outside option on an iPhone.
yuvalcho - fill-in-the-blanks has never supported more than 4 characters, it might in the future but it didn't support them in the old version either.
